The reason is simple, in my old job, I spent 4-5 hours a day doing cold outreach for 5 years.

And I got sick of it, so when I started my ghostwriting biz at the end of 2022, I vowed to do it completely inbound.

Well… I didn't do too bad:

• ~$250k cash collected
• Client list including NYSE Listed CEOs
• And not a single cold DM sent

That was until a few months ago when I decided to switch it up.

I was missing a trick, and I'm glad to say I've now fixed that...

So rather than telling you the funnel that got me to $250k, I’ll show you the funnel that’ll get me to $1M.

​The inbound bits

So this is my bread and butter, the stuff I know like the back of my hand.

The strategy is actually quite simple:

• Content that explains my ideal clients problems (why they have them, and the negative consequences for not solving them)

• Lead magnets with case studies showing how I helped clients achieve my ICPs dream outcome

• Warm messages send to people who engage with my content (relationship building, and qualification)

​The outbound bits

For outreach I’m mostly focused on LinkedIn. I still like X, don’t get me wrong.

But I can’t deny how much better LinkedIn has become for lead gen, especially outreach.

LinkedIn has the major benefit of being designed for business in mind, so with premium you have tons of features to help you connect with the right people for your service.

Writing that out, I sound like a fking LinkedIn sales rep, but whatever. It’s true.

I’m using lead magnets as sales assets here to warm these calls up, and front load with value.

I'm also adding cold email - but that’s Kai's wheelhouse. He's one of the best cold email guys I’ve ever seen.

This is the secret sauce that’ll take you from $10-15k months to $30-40k months. But that’s only for people inside Built Different.
